Summer Ideas

Summer starts in June with the longest day of the year!  Here are some local ideas of ways to enjoy this season:

Enjoy the Russian River on those hot days:
Canoe or kayak down the river, rentals are available at Getaway Adventures, Burke's Canoe Trips and SOAR Inflatables/Russian River Adventures.  Want to stay in town, rent a paddleboat or canoe at Spring Lake Regional Park.

Hike the Coast:
The Sonoma Coast beaches are located between Jenner and Bodega Bay on Highway One.  The series of beaches separated by rock bluffs and headlands, extends 17 miles from Bodega Head to Vista Trail located 4 miles north of Jenner.

Hop on your bike:
Do some sightseeing along the 20 miles of paved route from the Price Memorial Greenway, the Joe Rodota trail and the west county trails to travel from downtown Santa Rosa to Forestville.  Need to rent a bike they are available at Getaway Adentures, The Trek Bicycle Store, and in Healdsburg Wine Country Bikes.
