April 3-8 | LPGA Symetra Tour | Windsor Golf Club
The Symetra Tour, Road to the LPGA, POCMED Golf Classic, a new professional golf tournament, will be held at Windsor Golf Club outside of Santa Rosa the week of April 3-9.The 54-hole tournament will be played from Friday, April 7 through Sunday, April 9. POCMED is short for POC Medical Systems Inc., a company based in Livermore that is developing next generation technology for diagnosing breast cancer.

April 8 | Battle of the Brews | Sonoma County Fairgrounds - Grace Pavilion
The 2017 event marks the 21st year of the People's Choice Main Event along with the return of two phenomenal additions to the lineup -- The Craft Cup, a judged specialty craft brew competition featuring a variety of premier micro-breweries from around the country, will precede the People's Choice Main Event and feature The Sonoma County Sandwich Showdown, highlighting the most delicious sandwiches from local chefs. Plus, all proceeds go directly to helping children in need in Sonoma County.

April 8 | Annadel Half Marathon & 5K | Spring Lake Regional Park
The Annadel Half Marathon is a non-profit fundraising event to help build and maintain the trails in Annadel State Park. The Half Marathon course is a hilly, and technical course designed for the experienced trail runner looking for a challenge. The 5K course is an out and back. All participants will receive a shirt, post-race meal, and finisher’s medal! For more information visit our website.

April 8-9 | Bodega Bay Fisherman’s Festival | Westside Park
The Bodega Bay community will host its 44th Annual Fisherman’s Festival. The Festival is packed with events for people of all ages – craft booths, live music, good food, entertainment and more. A favorite attraction is the wine tasting booth featuring more than 25 Sonoma County wines and a beer booth with several local ales. Plus we have something for every palate from barbecued oysters, local fish ‘n chips, clam chowder and a variety of food trucks. Live music and entertainers perform on the main stage all day Saturday and Sunday. Artisans and vendors from all over California and beyond offer a wide selection of arts and crafts.The festival has its origin as a celebration of the start of the Salmon fishing season and the annual Blessing of the Fleet. Each year’s theme is chosen by the Bodega Bay Fisherman’s Marketing Association. At the Festival site itself you’ll see a wooden boat challenge where participating teams build a vessel and compete in a boat race.The Fisherman’s Festival is a great venue for kids with a play area for face painting, games, a touch tank tide pool, bouncy houses and more.

April 8 | Cartoonist Knave Murdok | Charles M. Schulz Museum
Meet, watch, and talk to Bay Area cartoonist Knave Murdok, the mind behind the hit indie series TransCat, the tale of a young transgender superhero's adventures fighting evil in her own backyard. Armed with her magic Cat Hat, her Kung Fu training, and a few well-placed bad jokes, TransCat stands steadfast in her mission to defend the innocent and triumph over the powers that be.
