El Grito Fest 2025 – A Celebration of Latino Heritage and Independence
Join us for the first-ever El Grito Fest in Santa Rosa, a free, family-friendly celebration honoring Latino Heritage Month and the Independence Days of Latin America. The event will take place on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Santa Rosa Downtown Square.
This cultural festival brings the community together through music, tradition, and unity. Enjoy live performances from regional and folkloric talent including Los Cadetes de Rigoberto Cantú, Macizo del Arpa, Los del 7, La Nueva Historia de Tierra Caliente, Banda Súper Clave, and a traditional dance performance by Guareitas y Viejitos de la Rivera del Lago de Pátzcuaro.
A special highlight will be the “Grito de Independencia” led by Vice Mayor Eddie Alvarez, symbolizing the historic call for freedom and cultural pride. The event will also feature local food vendors, artisan booths, kids' activities, and nonprofit resources for all ages to enjoy.
Everyone is welcome to celebrate, learn, and take part in this joyful gathering of culture and community.
