Juneteenth
Juneteenth. The staged reading play follows the history of a Black family living in the USA. We first meet them in Act One 1865. the day Juneteenth is introduced to Texas. Act Two, we meet their descendants in 1963, during the heart of the Civil Rights Era. Act Three, we meet their current descendants living in Northern California in 2025. The story is highlighted with history, humor, multimedia slides and music. Their lives are woven together with a thread that binds them over the generations. Written and Directed by Enid Pickett.
