More Ways to Fly Into Wine Country: New Southwest Routes Enhance Travel to Santa Rosa
Big news is on the horizon for travel to Santa Rosa and Sonoma County’s Wine Country! Starting April 7, 2026, Southwest Airlines will begin flying into Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport (STS) with a set of new nonstop routes, bringing travelers directly to the heart of Northern California.
Southwest’s expanded service will include flights to San Diego, Las Vegas, Burbank, and Denver, making it easier for visitors from across the country to reach Santa Rosa without the long drive from larger Bay Area airports. And that’s not all, beginning October 3, 2026, Southwest will add seasonal nonstop service between Santa Rosa and Austin, Texas, opening a new gateway from one vibrant destination to another.
For visitors planning a getaway, these new routes offer more flexibility and convenience to explore all that Sonoma County has to offer, from world‑class wineries and farm‑to‑table dining to scenic outdoor adventures and charming downtown experiences. Arrive fresh and ready to unwind, sip, and explore.
Whether you’re coming for a long weekend or an extended stay, Southwest’s expanded schedule helps make your Wine Country escape easier than ever.
