Look, Listen and Bird!
We will focus (pun intended) on learning stories and field characteristics of local and migrating birds in the variety of Sugarloaf habitats, with an emphasis on ear birding. We’ll discuss identification, migration, adaptations and our important role in improving habitat for birds. Let’s try to observe at least 20 species!
Meet at the White Barn parking lot. Tickets are $10 for general admission, $5 for youth (12-17 year olds; all minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian), students, Sugarloaf members, Sugarloaf or RFO volunteers, and free for children under 12. Wear layers, appropriate footwear for muddy and/or slippery trails, bring at least a quart of water, sun protection, and if desired, a snack. Binoculars are optional but welcome. Rain cancels. Parking fees apply.
