The first session of this three-part series explores the Pregnant Worker Fairness Act and practical strategies for supporting employees during pregnancy, after childbirth, and throughout the transition to parenthood. Presented by Samantha Pungprakearti, Associate, Carle, Mackie, Power & Ross LLP, the seminar combines expert employment legal reminders with discussion of innovative workplace practices that help employers attract, retain, and support talented employees through work-life balance initiatives.

Participants will learn:

• What accommodations employers may be required to provide during pregnancy and after childbirth—and why those obligations are broader than many employers realize.
• How to determine when an employee should remain in their position with reasonable accommodations versus when a leave of absence is appropriate.
• Unique ideas for providing flexibility and support to new and expecting parents while strengthening employee engagement and retention.

This seminar is Part 1 of a free three-part series exploring how employers can build family-friendly workplaces while navigating employment law and supporting work-life balance for all employees.
