Bike Shorts, A Bicyle Movie Film Festival
Join us for an evening that celebrates the joy of cycling at ANY age! On Wednesday, May 20th at 6:00pm, the Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition is hosting its first annual Bike Shorts Film Festival at Rialto Cinemas in Sebastopol. This evening is a benefit to raise funds for the coalition’s work to support our bike education and advocacy work, and features films on cyclists from 5 years old to seniors. The Sebastopol Senior Center’s Cycling Without Age Team will also provide FREE trishaw rides before the screening.
FEATURED FILMS:
KIDICAL MASS – A film focusing on the power of two wheels for children and families showcasing community rides advocating for safer cycling infrastructure for the next generation.
IN THE DIRT - A documentary following Native American cyclists working to establish a mountain biking culture across the 28,000-square-mile Navajo Nation, which previously had no bike shops.
CYCLING WITHOUT AGE – This film follows retired educator John Seigel-Boettner and volunteers using pedal-powered trishaws to give elderly individuals with limited mobility the chance to feel "the wind in their hair".

6-8 PM: FILMS and speaker panel
