Sock Hop Through the Decades

Every two minutes, a child enters foster care.

Our Village Closet exists to meet those moments with care. We provide no-cost essentials, comfort items, and connections for these youth impacted by foster care, because dignity and belonging are not extras—they’re necessities. In 2025, our Resource Center recorded over 4,500 visits, meeting the needs of nearly 1,000 youth.

For many of the youth we serve at Our Village Closet, life has required far more resilience than any child should need. Frequent moves, instability, and loss are common—and yet, they keep going.

Please consider supporting Our Village Closet’s (OVC) Sock Hop Fundraiser, on Saturday, June 7th, 2025 from 6-8pm @ the St. Luke Church Gym in Santa Rosa (right next to OVC). Thanks to The Good News Band, we are expecting an evening full of wonderful music, joy, and connection.

Funds raised from this event will be used to provide beds and bedding for children who didn’t have one, new car seats for placements and transitions, essentials on our shelves, and a place where youth and caregivers feel dignity, connection, and hope.
